The First Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir sings regularly for the 11am Sunday Service.
The selection of anthems and other music is challenging to the singer but
can be easily learned by coming to rehearsals. Our anthems range from spirituals
to classical repertoire, larger choral works for special seasonal services
and covers a range of several musical styles. If you sing, can read music or learn
a part from sitting in a section, we welcome you to come and be a part of
the FPC Chancel Choir...most of all, we have fun preparing music for worship. We
rehearse Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 8:45. The Contemporary Ensemble sings for the early 9am service. Our music is carefully chosen contemporary Christian Music that has a good message with good musical arrangements. We have an excellent accompanist, bass and sometimes light percussion accompaning the Ensemble. We rehearse on Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30. If you enjoy a lighter style of music and feel that you can make a musical contribution to this group, please come and join us and try us out. Above all, we have fun in rehearsels.
